Iwi/Māori engagement

Background

The Climate Change Response Act 2002 requires the Government to produce plans setting out policies and strategies to meet emissions budgets and make progress towards our 2050 emissions reduction targets. The first emissions reduction plan is due by the end of May 2022 and is being coordinated across central government agencies by Te Manatū Mō Te Taiao – the Ministry for the Environment.
